Verona is a professional Dancer, Teacher, fitness instructor and Choreographer based in London who earned her BA HONS in Dance Performance in 2008 at Middlesex University and her teaching qualification under the IDTA syllabus. She is the Founder and Co-Director of Ignition Dance Company which hosts under its umbrella Jamercise Fitness, IDC Performance group and CAOS Academy for Youth. As a Dancer, Verona is experienced in a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latin, Street and Lyrical however when teaching and Choreographing Verona specialises in Street , Lyrical, African and Caribbean dance styles. Verona has worked steadily as a Teacher since 2007 for various agencies and organisations which has resulted in her working at over a 50 Schools, Colleges, Universities and community clubs. Institutions include Lewisham College, Queen Mary University and Newham College to name a few.
Verona’s latest external services also include her role as a consistent core member of FFI (Director Hakeem Onibudo of Impact Dance Company) whereby she often teaches and performs at various events which have recently included Dance 4 Change (Launch), Peckham Pulse, May 2014 (Dancer and teacher), DIVERCITY, Greenwich Dance, April 2014 (Dancer), Harrow’s Laughing, Harrow Arts Centre, March 2014 (Dancer) Live Vibe Make it Happen, Rich Mix, June 2013 (Work experience). She also lends herself to other companies who may wish to employ her services outside of Ignition Dance Company.
