A typical Sivananda Yoga class is based around a Classical Sequence of Warm- Ups, Key Classical Postures and guided Breathing Techniques.
During this Sequence the entire body is stretched and toned. Each Posture augments or counter balances the one before.
Whether you are just starting yoga or are already quite advanced, you can regard this Classical Sequence as a foundation on which to build you practice – new postures and variations of these postures are gradually added. Generally a class will conclude with a brief guided Relaxation or Meditation.
